PVP K25 is a powder with CAS 9003-39-8, odorless or slightly characteristic odor. It is easily soluble in water, alcohol, amines and halogenated hydrocarbons, but insoluble in acetone, ether, etc. It has excellent solubility, biocompatibility, physiological inertness, film-forming properties.

Used in solid and liquid preparations as a binder, film-forming agent, solubilizer, suspension stabilizer, and dispersant.
It can form a re wetting, transparent film on the hair, with luster and good lubrication. PVP is well compatible with various propellants and has antiseptic properties. It is widely used in hair styling and combing products as film forming agent, skin care lotion and cream softener and stabilizer, eye and face beauty cosmetics and lipstick base material, hair dye dispersant and shampoo foam stabilizer. PVP has detoxifying effects and reduces the irritation of other preparations to the skin and eyes. It is also used in toothpaste as a stain remover, gelling agent, and detoxifying agent. The main drawback of polyvinylpyrrolidone PVP is its sensitivity to moisture, but it can be reduced by using its vinyl acetate copolymer to mitigate the effects of moisture and humidity. In addition, PVP has a wide range of applications in industries such as pharmaceuticals, beverages, and textiles.
PVP K25 has the ability to protect the body and the ability to combine various organic and inorganic compounds, and is relatively stable to acids, salts and heat. It has application properties such as adhesion, film-forming, dispersion and thickening.
