Description

N-Octyl pyrrolidone is a white or light-colored liquid. Boiling point 145℃(40Pa). Melting point 10℃. Flash point 116℃. Density 0.9(g/cm3). Slightly soluble in water, soluble in most polar and non-polar solvents. N-Octyl pyrrolidone has good coordination ability and surface activity. Non-toxic. It’s not flammable. N-Octyl pyrrolidone is biodegradable.

NOP is a substituted heterocyclic organic compound and a rapid nonionic wetting agent in dishwashing, industrial, and institutional cleaners. N-Octyl pyrrolidone also can serve as a solvent for polymers and hydrophobic substances and has uses as a dye carrier for aramid fabrics.
