Polycaprolactone PCL Pellet CAS 24980-41-4 Manufacturer
Description
The PCL produced by Uli ECO currently has powder, particle, and microsphere appearances. We have industrial grade. We have regular 60,000-molecular weight , 80,000-molecular weight , and of course we can customize some lower/higher molecular weight. We have 100 mesh, 60 mesh, 30 mesh and other different particle sizes. The annual production of raw materials is 50,000 tons.
Our PCL is offered in pellets form for efficient handling and uniform industrial use.
Microsphere-grade PCL is also available for applications requiring precise particle size control.
FDA-approved PCL can be supplied for biodegradable plastics, disposable films, and other certified industrial applications.

Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a versatile, biodegradable polymer with a wide range of applications across several industries. Known for its excellent processability and biodegradability, PCL is used in medical, industrial, and environmental applications.
1. Medical Uses of Polycaprolactone (PCL)
Medical orthopedic splints: Utilizing the shape memory properties of PCL, lightweight, breathable, and X-ray-transparent orthopedic external fixation splints (such as P-plates and K-plates) can be manufactured.
Radiotherapy positioning films: Used in radiotherapy to create personalized fixation molds for patients, ensuring consistent patient positioning during each radiotherapy session, thereby improving treatment precision.
Dental impression materials: Used to create precise oral impressions for dental restorations or orthodontics.
2. Polycaprolactone in 3D Printing
Polycaprolactone’s unique properties make it a popular material in the world of 3D printing. Applications include:
3D Printing Filament: PCL is a preferred material for 3D printing filament, particularly in the production of complex models and prototypes.
3D Printing Scaffolds: PCL is widely used in the creation of polycaprolactone scaffolds for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
Custom Medical Devices: PCL’s ability to be customized in 3D printing allows for the design of tailored medical devices and implants.
3. Environmental and Industrial Applications
PCL’s biodegradability extends its use in environmentally friendly applications:
Fully Degradable Films: PCL and PBAT blending is commonly used for the production of fully degradable films that break down in natural environments, such as composting or seawater.
Biodegradable Packaging: PCL is used in the manufacturing of biodegradable plastic film bags and packaging materials.
Coatings and Inks: PCL is used as a binder in coatings and inks, providing durability and flexibility to the final product.
4. Polycaprolactone in Adhesives
Polycaprolactone is used in a variety of adhesive formulations due to its high strength and adhesion properties:
Hot Melt Adhesives: PCL is widely used in the production of hot melt adhesives, which are applied in industries such as packaging, automotive, and textiles.
Structural Adhesives: PCL-based adhesives are used for structural bonding in industries requiring high-performance adhesives.
5. Other Industrial Applications
In addition to the above, PCL is used in a wide range of industrial applications:
Non-Woven Fabrics: PCL is used in the production of non-woven fabrics for applications like medical and hygiene products.
Shoe Materials: Polycaprolactone is used in shoe materials, offering durability and comfort in footwear production.

1. Biocompatibility
PCL has good compatibility with biological cells in the body, and cells can grow normally on its scaffold and degrade into CO2 and H2O.
2. Biodegradability
In soil and water environments, pcl can be completely decomposed into CO2 and H2O from June to December.
3. Good compatibility
PCL can be well compatible with PE, PP, ABS, AS, PC, PVAC, PVB, PVE, PA, natural rubber, etc.
4. Good solvent solubility
PCL dissolves well in aromatic compounds, ketones, and polar solvents, but is insoluble in n-hexane.
5. High crystallinity and low melting point
Very soft, with great stretchability; Its melting point is 60-63 ° C (melting points of 60, 70, 80, optional), which can be formed at low temperatures.
